The Sydney Opera House is Sydney's, if not Australia's most recognisable venue. Under the iconic sails, the building boasts spectacular views from its 3 large concert halls that have played host to thousands of diverse acts over its 45 years of being open. With a seated capacity of 5,738 people and great food nearby, you're sure to enjoy your night.

- A Westpac ATM is available in the Lower Concourse area (This is just near the entrance of the carpark).

- A rediATM is available in the Western (near the lift).


General vibe: Classy and memorable with amazing acoustics


Overall child-friendliness: Due to the seating options and general layout of the venue, the Opera House is very child friendly (but it all depends on the gig you're going to in the end)


 

Getting There

As the Opera House is iconically located in the city getting there is easy.


 

Trains, Busses and Ferries

The Opera House is a short walk (bout 5 mins) from the Circular Quay where ferries, busses and trains run regularly so catch any transport that way.

Driving

It’s probably best to avoid driving if you can, purely to avoid hassle, but if driving is unavoidable you can park at the Wilson Parking run car park located 2 Macquarie Street with an entrance adjacent to the front of the Sydney Opera House.

The car park can hold 1,200 cars and has pay stations on every floor.

There are a number of accessible spaces available on floors 1, 6 and 12. Wilson Parking offer a booking discount when you book online here.

 

Ubers and Taxis

As the venue is in the city, both ubers and taxis run from nearby.

  • Unless the event is specifically shown to be 'all ages' no one under the age of 18 can attend

  • Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded or returned after purchase

  • Stage diving and crowd surfing are prohibited

  • All drugs and illicit substances are strictly prohibited

  • All bags may be screened before entry

  • All backpack and bags larger than an A4 sheet must be cloaked
