Located in Marrickville, The Factory Theatre is a unique, intimate venue. The multi-purpose layout makes it perfect for music, performance acts and films. With a capacity of 350 seated and 800 standing, the factory theatre provides a great atmosphere for a great gig.

General Vibe: Great but a bit odd, doesn't really feel like a gig venue


Overall child-friendliness: The venue isn’t too great for kids due to the general set up.

 

Getting There

Trains

The Factory Theatre is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride from the Newtown Train Station. Bus services 423 and 426 run from Newtown Station directly to The Factory Theatre fairly regularly and continue late into the night (after midnight). The Factory Theatre is also a 15 minute walk from Sydenham and Marrickville train Stations.

 

Buses

The 423 and 426 (428 turns off at Addison Rd Vic on the Park Hotel, 2 min walk from the Factory.) both run to directly outside the factory Theatre. These services both run from Circular Quay via Central Station.

Driving

.It is super easy to get to the factory theatre via taxis and public transport. If you have to drive however, there is on street and limited onsite parking available.

As there are a number of houses surrounding the venue, it is strongly requested that concert goers do not park in front of them, purely out of respect for homeowners. Unrestricted parking is found on:

Victoria Road, including and along Enmore Park, Rich Street and

Concert-goers are also asked to respect the neighbours by not parking in front of houses, especially along Cook Road, Brompton and Smith Streets. Everyone's also asked to keep noise to a minimum when returning to their vehicles.

 

Reserved Parking

Limited paid reserved parking is also available at Enmore Design TAFE located at 110 Edgeware Road, Enmore (Cnr of Camden Street) on a first in, first served basis.

The car park is open from 6pm - 12midnight on select nights.

Ubers and taxis

As the venue is in Newtown, there are taxis and Ubers that run from nearby.

  • Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded or returned after purchase

  • Stage diving and crowd surfing are prohibited

  • All backpack and large bags must be checked into the cloakroom at $3 Per item
